EMDR Consultation &
Clinical Supervision
As a Psychology Board Approved Supervisor and EMDRAA accredited Consultant, I offer individual and group EMDR consultation and clinical supervision.
This is best suited to EMDR-trained mental health practitioners seeking a reflective, trauma-focused and integrative space to deepen their work - from newly trained to experienced clinicians interested in pursuing accreditation.
My approach is grounded in Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) theory and shaped by an embodied, relational understanding of trauma, attachment in neurodevelopment, and nervous system regulation.
Consultation and clinical supervision sessions focus on supporting thoughtful case conceptualisation, clinical confidence, professional growth and ethical decision-making.
Sessions are collaborative, with attention to both the therapy process and the clinician’s experience within it.
My approach integrates a range of trauma-focused therapeutic modalities, including:
-
Integrating AIP (adaptive information processing), somatic psychology and attachment and neurodevelopment to guide case conceptualisation, with a broader focus on the development of, and at times fragmentation of, the self.
-
Standard and advanced protocols for trauma processing, including that which is implicitly held.
-
Understanding and working with parts of the self, trauma-related voices, dissociative parts and disorders.
-
Incorporating somatic focused and exposure based mindfulness and values-based approaches.
-
Using bottom-up body-based awareness for shifting patterns and supporting trauma healing.

Supervision has a broader focus on the therapy process, including interpersonal and intrapersonal observations and reflections, and exploration of ethical, organisational and diversity issues. Treatment approaches are discussed based on case conceptualisation and formulation.
Consultation is specifically focused on meeting requirements for accreditation with EMDRAA as an EMDR Practitioner or Consultant. The focus is on building EMDR therapists’ confidence with using EMDR Standard Protocol with a variety of clinical presentations as well as learning about appropriate adaptations.
When beginning our work together, we will discuss your supervision versus consultation needs and individualise our plan accordingly.

When preparing for a session, it’s helpful to spend some time reviewing cases and making a list of any specific questions you might have. You may wish to discuss a theme that you’re noticing, learn how to apply an approach/adjunct modality or specific protocol or flesh out a whole case in more detail to work through the case formulation.
